ABOUT US
Ignite Music Academy is a fun and dynamic music school based in Whangārei. We offer piano, guitar, and drum lessons to primary aged students in both group and one-on-one settings. We teach from our Kamo Studio and in local schools, aiming to create confident, creative musicians in a supportive environment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach drums, guitar, piano or singing, in engaging and effective ways (individually and in groups of up to 5).

Prepare students for regular concerts and Ignite level videos to send home.

Set up and pack down instruments each day in different schools.

Use our online portal for attendance and to keep track of each students skills - uploading videos of students performance for each level.

Email video lessons when an individual student is sick.

Maintain and improve your own musical and teaching skills.

REQUIREMENTS
All applicants must:

Be Police Vetted - This is done through Ignite, and also through the schools that we work at.

Have your own transport.

Be reliable, professional, and enthusiastic about working with children and teens.

Be confident teaching individuals and small groups.
